CST Composites: MG14 Carbon Fibre Spars

Designed to replace the old Flightspar MK2 and Goldspar aluminium masts, CST eliptical 75 series sections measure 80 x 40mm OD and are made using intermediate modulus carbon fibre. The mast sections are manufactured in one piece and come complete with woven carbon reinforcing at the hounds and base. The sucess of this new mast has also been proven with a convincing win at 2009-10 and 2010-11 Australian MG14 Championship.

When fully rigged the new carbon mast will weigh around 2kg less than the current alloy alternative and offer a reduction in windage through smaller side profile.
