Carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) or carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CRP) or simply carbon fibers are extremely strong for their weight. The polymer is most often epoxy, but other polymers, such as polyester, vinyl ester or nylon, are sometimes used.

The composite may contain fibers such as Kevlar, aluminium, glass , as well as carbon fiber.  Composites have many uses and can be designed and engineered to suit your needs.

Where Are Composites Used?

Due to the exceptional properties of composites, they are used in a wide variety of applications in the sports industry, industrial, transport, civil, robotics and hi-tech markets.

Some examples of where composites are being used in industry include:

  • Pipes and poles
  • Rollers
  • Structural frames
  • Cranes and booms
  • Pressure vessels
  • Safety walkways
  • Railings
  • Power poles
  • Ducting
  • Water pipes
