CST Revolutionises Shaw 650 Boom Section

By All News, Marine News

New Shaw 650 rectangular boom section

CST is constantly redesigning our marine products to ensure we continue to provide sailors with the latest, strongest and lightest carbon fibre products. We have engineered and produced a rectangular boom section for the Shaw 650. The new section is stiffer, lighter and stronger with a length of 3.5 metres and weight of 5kg fully rigged. The new boom will be in action in Sydney soon with the first boat to receive it ready to go sailing.

If you want one of the new boom sections check out CST Express, our convenient online store for all your marine needs.

Go Aussies! Nathan Outteridge, Iain Jensen, Tom Slingsby all win Gold in London 2012

By All News, Marine News

CST would love to congratulate our team sailors Nathan Outteridge, Iain Jensen and Tom Slingsby, who have all won gold medals in the 2012 London Olympics. What an awesome moment in Australian sport. Tom achieved his dreams in the Laser while Nathan and Iain looked on, then Nathan and Iain sailed out to secure their own success.

Our tiller extensions have been used by both classes at this year’s Olympics and have been used by the Lasers for the last four Olympics. We can confidently say, we make the best tiller extensions in the world.

All the guys have worked hard since the last Olympics and it’s paid off. CST is proud to be associated with these world-class sailors and we look forward to supporting them throughout the rest of 2012 and into 2013.

CST is proud to support this young Aussie sailor.

In other Moth news, the Brass Monkey Regatta was held on the long weekend, with fourteen Moths racing in generally light conditions. CST is excited to announce that five out of the 6 top place-getters used our masts. Phil Kurts won the regatta with using an MSL 16 and the Elite 1 Mast.
