Contender
As part of the High Modulus carbon mast range, CST Composites offers the High Modulus Contender mast. The tapered mast is just 45mm outside diameter compared with 50mm for the previous version. It’s 10% lighter and has a much smoother bend profile.
Contender
The High Modulus Contender mast is a one piece mast and comes with reinforcing sleeves and track already attached, but can be supplied as two piece mast for ease of shipping. Notable class sailors like Andrea Bonezzi, who finished second in the Contender World Championships 2010, have already had great success using this section and with a proven track record to back this up we feel that this is our finest Contender mast we have made to date.
Mark Bulka, sailing the Balance, has recently won the Contender Australian Championship 2012/2013 using a CST Composites mast. In the 2012 Contender World Series both the winner (Antonio Lambertini) and the runner-up (Giovanni Bonzio) used CST masts. Additionally, the 2012 Contender European Championship winner, Andrea Bonezzi, also used a CST mast.
