CST Rigs Set the Standard in 2004

By All News, Marine News

With a fantastic start to the year, RMW Marine has won the JJ Giltinan 18fter World Championships.  With 4 wins and 2 second places, RMW reigned supreme in the series.  Excellent crew work and a fantastic boat and rig combination ensured that RMW took an early strangle hold upon the championship.  Beating 9 previous JJ winners, including Howie Hamlin, took an enormous effort and Rob and Peter Greenhalgh along with Dan Johnson did so convincingly.

CSTComposites skippered by Chris Dixon had mixed luck with collision in the Invitational Race, which set them back in the JJ.  However they recovered towards the end of the regatta for a 15th.

I14 South Pacific and Australian Championships

After a competitive week of racing, Grant Geddes and Dan Wilsdon aboard Snatch has taken both titles by a 1 point margin from Lindsey Irwin and  Andrew Perry on Irwin Sails.  Snatch regained the lead by beating Irwin Sails by 4 boat lengths in the final race.  Both boats, using CST rigs, battled fiercely for the lead for the entire week, putting on a good performance for spectators.
