CST has just completed a project to supply four carbon paper unwind spindles to Kimberly Clarke’s baby care division. The spindles will replace existing steel ones in order to reduce weight for easier handling and improved OHS. The new spindles weigh just under 5kg compared with over 13kg for their steel counterparts. The carbon spindles have been proof tested to twice their operational load and will shortly find their way onto the factory floor for a full evaluation. Picture
CST has added the Javelin mast to it’s ever increasing High Modulus Spar Range. The new Javelin mast is 15% lighter and stiffer than the previous version, comes in two pieces, with joining, reinforcing sleeves and the track attached.
