Congratulations to Marcus Hamilton for winning the 2007 Contender World Championships at Medemblik in Holland. Marcus was using a CST carbon mast from our 44mm series range. Four out of the top ten Contender sailors were using CST masts to help power them to the front of the fleet. CST also supply carbon fibre booms for the Contender. Congratulations to CST sponsored, Glenn Ashby who wrapped up the A-Class European Titles on the second last day of racing.
During the 6 days of racing, Ashby won 6 out of the 8 races he sailed, and wrapped up the European title with a full day to spare. He chose to sit the last day of racing out, instead opting to watch from a powerboat, sidelined.
CST is celebrating the production of its 10,000th tube and would like to say a big thank you to all its customers. Since 1995 CST has continued to grow from strength to strength and now employs over 15 people. During the last 12 years CST has supplied over 1000 masts world wide and CST carbon spars now dominate open skiff classes both in Australia and internationally (see Geelong skiff regatta news article). Congratulations to Michael Coxon, Aaron Links and Nathan Ellis on Casio Seapathfinder in winning the prestigious JJ Giltinan title. They narrowly defeated Asko Appliances, only claiming the title in the last race of the series with a win to seal the championship.
